It was a place like no other—Córdoba.

While doing my preliminary research on Spain, something about Córdoba made me feel fuzzy and warm. And after my visit, I knew I would be happy to return for many weeks to this friendly town.

A small town in Spain’s Andalusia’s district, Córdoba is famous for the Mosque-Cathedral, the picturesque patios or courtyards and the Córdoba Guitar Festival. My time here was limited to a scarce 24 hours. And so Prachi and I decided to head out a little early the only morning we had here for a quick walk.

The day was overcast and we were lucky to have seen five minutes of sun shine while walking through the neighbourhood. The meandering turns were confusing. And just as we started making our way back to the hotel, the shops were opening up, which allowed us the pleasure of distraction.

These are just a few glimpses of the town from the morning.

Good to know

-We walked around Hotel las Casas de la Judería on Calle Tomás Conde.
–This was our tentative trail though we took many detours and made many stops.
-Zoco Municipal or the Market of Crafts is open every day from 1000hrs to 2000hrs. It also has a shop in the premises.
