About Me

Currently, I work as the photo editor of RoundGlass Sustain, an online magazine documenting India’s wildlife and biodiversity. I have been a travel and culture independent journalist. My bylines have appeared in many publications worldwide including National Geographic Traveller India, Lonely Planet Magazine India, The Indian Express and The Hindu, amongst others. In 2019, I was one of the eight fellows in the Media Ambassadors India-Germany program, by Robert Bosch Stiftung and Centre for Media Competence, University of Tübingen.

I reside in India currently and continue to travel extensively. Long distance treks, SCUBA diving and traditional arts and crafts are my focus areas when I travel.

I am also an analogue film photographer and specialise in black and white photography.

Dhankar looks like it will crumble and fall in a few seconds. Its most valuable site is the endangered Dhankar Gompa, which stands atop rocky spurs and at the edge of barren cliffs.

My favourite moment in Dhankar however was the view from the monastery. I saw the icy blue colours of Pin and Spiti rivers meet at the base of the brown mountains.
