In August 2011, three of us travelled to Pondicherry (Puducherry), India. This was not our first time to the place but it’s remarkably special how a familiar destination can redefine our close friendships into unforgettable moments.
Pondicherry is one of India’s Union Territory with a beautiful coast line. It has a very strong influence of the French from their acquisition way back in the 17th Century. This time around, we stayed at the French Quarter and made a day’s visit to Auroville. Here are some photographs from the special escape.

Thanks Sudipta! I love Pondicherry too, though July may be very hot to visit. Plans final? If I may suggest, this will give you an idea where you can go drinking :)
Beautiful post :) Just one thing though, I visited Auroville some months back and the Temple in the picture is MatriMandir instead of Mata Madir that you have mentioned, that is what i was told. :)
Thanks Rahul- for stopping by the blog and for the edited mistake. It is Matrimandir and my overconfident love for Pondicherry ignored it :p
